Premiership season started

The LFS Premiership in the ESL just started last week and this season SK Gaming is participating with three of its drvers: SK|n1lyn, SK|Husky and SK|kraniwani. So our famous two men team – SK|n1lyn the several times EPS champ and SK|Husky, winner of the intel Racing Tour - got help from our video master SK|kraniwani, who just moved in with Nils into the first ever SK Gaming LFS apartement in Berlin. Yesterday the second race of the season was held in this LFS Premiership season. While rumors sweep through the community about some interesting project on the horizon, they try to get used to the updated rules of this Premiership. You find the most important informations further down below. Back to the race itself: While the whole grid showed condolences to famous Rally driver Colin McRae, namegiver to the great rallygames series, who died in a tragic accident last weekend, they still concentrated to the passion that keeps them all together: Racing. SK|n1lyn could take home a 4th> and a 2nd place in the two heats, which – given the fact of his carchoice – gave him a great second overall place this night. After these two first races, it looks like an upcoming showdown between Nils and n!Jay in this 9th LFS season in the ESL, promoted with 2500,- Euros prizemoney and a taxi-drive around the Nordschleife. SK|Husky did a great performance as well, bringing home places 7 and 4, while SK|kraniwani also aims at the top 10 with his performance for places 8 and 12. The Cars:
The changed rules in this ESL season allow the drivers to choose
from three possibilities for the first 4 races. Those cars are in the
so called „TBO-class“, representing the typical
streetcar, with some two litre 4-cylinder engines, road tires and no
aerodynamic bodykits. Most of the drivers choose between the rear
wheel driven XR Turbo and the front wheel driven FXO Turbo. While the
XRT is definitely faster on straights, the FXO has a lot higher
cornerspeed. So depending on the tracks in these first four races, the
balance of the cars change. The first track was a tight track with
sharp slow turns and also some fast sweeping corners. The FXO had a
good advantage here, but that changed in this second race:
The long straights helped the XRT to play his higher top speed advantage. The upcoming 2 races in this first third of the season promise again a tight fight. So check back for more.
