The 20th edition of Dreamhack is just around the corner and like every time it will be a host to some of the biggest eSports tournaments of the year. One of them will undoubtedly be the Dreamhack Hearthstone Championship which will offer a prize pool of over $25,000. Arguably the 32 best players from all around Europe and North America were either invited or managed to qualify for the super stacked tournament. The list, which you can see in full here, includes the world champion from BlizzCon,
Firebat, the Dreamhack Masters Bucharest champion,
ThijsNL, the SeatStoryCup II champion, Savjz and the Viagame House Cup champion,
Kolento, to name only a few.
This will also be the second tournament for our first Hearthstone player,
Numberguy, under the SK flag. He's been placed in Group D along with
Gaara,
Cipher,
Thalai,
Hyped,
Kaldi,
ThijsNL and
Lothar. The groups will be played in a double elimination format with the top 2 players advancing to the playoffs. His first opponent will be the winner of Dreamhack Valencia, Thalai, and the match is scheduled for 14:30 CET on Friday, November 28th.
Despite all the tough opponents in the tournament, Numberguy is confident in his chances:

Despite all the tough opponents in the tournament, Numberguy is confident in his chances:
"Dreamhack Winter is the most stacked Hearthstone tournament of all time, and with only 2/8 players advancing from each group every group is going to be super hard. I'm happy I dodged the Group of Death, but that doesn't mean that my group is anywhere close to easy. However I have been playing incredibly lately and if I can carry on the momentum my chances of advancing from my group look really good. I believe I'm capable of reaching at least top 4."
