The online regular season stage of the tournament has come to an end after more than seven weeks of total world class action and the eight finalists from both Europe and North America has now been determined.
The group stage began on May 4th and ran until 24th of June, with the match between Titan eSports and Team Dignitas being the last of the series.
The finalists or the top four teams of each continent that will fly to Cologne in order are Fnatic, Virtus.pro, Team SoloMid and Team EnVy representing Europe and Cloud 9, Keyd Stars, Luminosity Gaming and Counter Logic Gaming representing North America.

The LAN event will be held inside the ESL's state-of-art arena from 2nd to 5th of July. The schedule can be found here. More information regarding the tournament's format and structure will be revealed soon.

The organizers has also revealed the groups for the offline finals. The mentioned eight teams above will be divined in to two groups, which will look as the following:
The $250,000 prize purse for the LAN finals will be distributed as the following:
Furthermore to ensure that the competition have the best teams in the world each season, ESL and ESEA announced move up and down system between the Pro League and the ESEA Premier division. The top nine teams of each continent will directly secure a spot for the next season, while the last three remaining will have to prove themselves again.
The winner of the Premier division will replace the twelfth team in the Pro League. The runner up will face the eleventh team of the Pro League for a chance to promote themselves and Premier's third team to take on the tenth.
SK Gaming are currently second in the European Premier division with ten victories and three defeats. Our Danish squad will have the chance to reach the Pro League by passing the group stage and securing one of the first three spots in the playoffs.
