Our Counter-Strike team managed to shut down the challengers coming up from the Premier league Publiclir.se 2-0 to retain a spot for the upcoming third season of ESL ESEA Pro League in 2016.
We were originally supposed to meet the Bulgarian team E-Frag in the relegation bracket, who finished second to Flipside Tactics in the Premier league, but the chance was given out to the Swedes of Publiclir due to E-Frag player
Simeon 'dream3r' Ganev's VAC ban.
The opening map of our relegation match against Publiclir was Train and we have started on the T side as we have lost the knife round earlier. We have quickly managed to take the pistol round and the following two rounds absolutely flawlessly.
Michael 'Friis' Jørgensen's four frags with the AWP in an important gun round have secured us even further round advantage in the first half. After already being down with nine rounds in a row, Publiclir have won their first round, thanks to
Anton 'awwe' Palsson's double kill with Desert Eagle. Nevertheless our division have successfully regained control immediately afterwards and continued to exploit the Swedish side's passive play.
Emil 'Magisk' Reif and
Andreas 'MODDII' Fridh assisted Friis with the aim duels to secure the enormous advantage of fourteen rounds in reserve for the second half.
Publiclir ran for a straight rush towards bombsite A during the pistol round of the second half, but failed to reach the area and thus dropped the chance to receive extra funds from the bomb plant. With almost nothing to work on the offensive side against SK Gaming, the Swedish team could not continue further and lost the first map 1-16.
The second and last map for the series was Overpass. We have once again failed to take the knife round and thus began on the offensive side, but nevertheless won the pistol round, thanks to
Martin 'percy' Wessel's flank. Percy acted as a stand-in for us for this match as
Jacob 'Pimp' Winneche was unable to join the team due to league rule restrictions. SK Gaming continued to roll over the Swedes, with the exception of one round, to the tenth round before Publiclir to comeback and take the next four rounds. Friis clutched the last round of the first half in an one-on-one situation versus
Nils 'auzh' Brundin to end up with total of five rounds over Publiclir in the scoreboard.
We have managed to take the pistol round of the second half too, making that four out of four pistol rounds scored in the entire series, but unfortunately dropped the followed round.
Daniel 'DomiNate' Garcia's team claimed the next four rounds as well, until Friis to score an ace and win a crucial round for SK Gaming. Furthermore Magiskb0y came up with four straight kills two rounds later to drive SK Gaming closer to the victory. Luckily, our team captain
Asger 'AcilioN' Larsen contributed with three important frags at the right time to secure map and match point and acquire the chance to participate in EEPL's season three for his team.
