The European Challenger Series spring split kicks off today, 26th of January, with the first 3 sets of games between the 6 participating teams. Riot recently announced a set of changes to the league with regular split matches moving to a best of two sets and playoffs to best of five. In the next 5 weeks each squad will face off against the remaining 5 teams once with games starting at 18:00 CET every Tuesday. A win in the best of 2 set brings 3 points, while a draw brings 1. In the end the top 4 teams will advance to the playoffs and the top 2 teams there will take part in the Promotion tournament for the EU LCS.
