After struggling to stay in the LCS with our previous roster, it was time for a fresh start. Some weeks ago, we announced our new League of Legends squad for the European Challenger Series.
Although the line up is looking promising for sure, the first three weeks proved to be not an easy task. Still learning how we work as a team, we found it hard to secure a win against the likes of Huma and Inspire eSports. However, each week showed that our young team still has room to grow, improving after every matchup so far. The bot lane demonstrated increased synergy, so did our Korean duo in the jungle and mid lane. Last, but not least, the team's coordination has also risen permanently, which once again is a good sign for SK's League of Legends fans.
The turnaround: Week 4
Throughout the first three weeks our roster did not manage to acquire a single win. This put them in a tough place at the bottom of the standings. However, in week 4 we put our substitute top lane player
Christian “Sleeping” Tiensuu in the starting roster for our matchup against
Mousesports.
While there were a number of errors during those matches, the team looked like a solid unit. Vardags' Caitlyn proved to be a stellar pick for us, especially when paired with the protective teamcomp behind him. Sleeping surely did his part on his beefy Shen and looked like a good pickup for the roster. The continued improvement coupled with this small change led to our first win, followed by a second one.
Next week is the final week of the regular spring split and we will face
Millenium on Tuesday, 23th February at 20:00 CET. A good result in this game can still secure us a spot in the playoffs so make sure to tune in and cheer the team on!
