We have been crowned Intel Extreme Masters Season XII Sydney 2017 champions as our Counter-Strike: Global Offensive division has just conquered the $200,000 Global Challenge in Sydney, Australia!
SK Gaming reached the playoffs of the competition before everyone else, as we started with an initial win over the Chinese squad ViCi Gaming, followed by another two strong victories against the Danish representatives of North and Astralis earlier in the Swiss stage.
On the next play day our Brazilian team quickly managed to secure a spot in the grand final after demolishing the North Americans of OpTic Gaming in the semi-finals.
Our team's final opponent for this tournament was none other than
Aleski 'allu' Jalli's on a raise FaZe Clan, which fortunately we managed to overcome in a best-of-five series as well.
As similar to last month's cs_summit 2017 event in Los Angeles, the Brazilians dropped only a single map during the entire competition. It was the third map of the best-of-five series, Inferno, versus FaZe in the grand final.
