As the Virtual Bundesliga Club Championship reaches halftime, we are heading into the winter break and take a look at the first half of the competition.
We are streaming each matchday on our YouTube channel and on the YouTube channel of 1. FC Koeln. But since the broadcast is in German and we have some international fans, we provide you with a recap of the first eleven matchdays.
Right now, we are in the ninth seat of the scoreboard with just four points behind the top six. Overall we have a statistic of 4-3-4 which makes for a total of 47 points. On PS4,
Tim 'TheStrxngeR' Katnawatos has gone 6-2-3 and is the fifth best player on the console. On the XBox One,
Michael 'Phenomeno' Gherman has had some bad luck in close contests and has recorded statistics of 2-3-6. 2v2s were our biggest weakness last year. However, this year we have improved in that area and have been able to get a record of 5-3-3.
In the beginning of the season, we had a rough start with mixed results. The players still needed to find their groove and after the huge comeback on live TV against the reigning champions of SV Werder Bremen, we were able to beat RB Leipzig 9:0 for the perfect matchday. After that, TheStrxngeR and Phenomeno were able to earn points consistently and are in reach to finish in the top six to qualify directly for the Grand Final.
The Virtual Bundesliga Club Championship continues in January and concludes in March. Our team looks to build on the first half of the season with a top six finish in the end. Meanwhile,
Mirza 'Mirza' Jahic and
Timo 'Praii' Gruneisen will participate in the Open Qualifier to enter the Playoffs and hopefully get to the Grand Final from there.
December has been a busy month with the Virtual Bundesliga, the FIFA eClub World Cup and qualifiers for FUT Champions Cups all going on at the same time. Our men played hard in all competitions and now head into the Christmas break to enter 2020 with as much energy as possible.
