The inaugural year of Prime League was very challenging for us and far below our goals for SK Prime and our place in the German national scene overall. After securing our spot in the league for 2021 during the promotion-relegation tournament, we put a lot of work in the offseason to build a highly competitive roster that, pending Riot Games' approval, will challenge for playoffs and EU Masters spots in the upcoming season.
The 2021 SK Prime roster includes some familiar names as well as a few newcomers to our organization. Top laner Alois "Alois" Nelissen remains a part of the team, as well as Marc "Canee" Behrend who we signed earlier in the year as an LEC jungler substitute and who already played for SK Prime in the relegation matches. Mid laner Dirk "ZaZee" Mallner, who also participated in those games, will be moving from the LEC to the Prime roster. The Prime bot lane will consist of Unforgiven, who previously competed in the NLC, and Lilipp, former teammate of Canee in OP innogy. Solid jungler-support synergy and ganks around the map are to be expected!
Last but not least, we are welcoming Max "Raqo" Temminck as the team's Head Coach. While freshly "retired" from professional play, he's already been working with our coaching staff in the past month and brings a lot of promise to his new role.

SK's League of Legends General Manager Joe "InnerFlame" Elouassi commented on his vision for the roster:
"I have extremely high hopes for this Prime League roster, we have a great blend of regional league experience and up and coming talent. After a rough 2020, it is important that we maintain our ambitions in Prime League and EU Masters. This process started by a successful bootcamp to retain our spot in Prime League, great work from everyone involved and many of the members in this new roster. SK Prime has been one of the most successful academy projects at the grassroots level in Europe and it is integral that we bring it back to its former glory. I'm also excited to work with Raqo, a recently retired professional player who is showing great potential to become a top Head Coach!"
We expect great results from this new iteration of the SK Prime team and are looking forward to watching them compete in Prime League very soon! Please give them a warm welcome into the SK Family!
