First half
SK won the pistol round as kHRYSTAL took the first two kills headstacked at the double doors then face picked up two and RobbaN the last. In the 2nd round EG bought deagles and armour with fRoD getting a galil and n0thing an AK. This proved effective as they won the round in bombsite B to tie the game up. EG then tore off four more, mostly by attacking the A bombsite, which SK played passively, via the catwalk. Down 1:5 SK came back with three rounds of their own in a row. The 8th had walle kill the first three and kHRYSTAL the last two at B.
EG took over again and in the 10th two kills from lurppis and fRoD each took the round for them. In the 11th a 2v4 for the Americans turned into a 2v1 thanks to a kill from lurppis and two from n0thing. lurppis got the last to make it 7:4 to EG. The next two also went EG's way putting them up 9:4 and firmly in control of a half which was almost completely out of control for SK at this point. On the 14th round SK were economically in a difficult situation as their team had famases or deagle with only walle having a colt. Despite that they managed to win the round at bombsite B to make it 9:5.
The Americans took the last round with another catwalk push to end 10:5 and put themselves in the driving seat for a potential upset.
Second half
EG took the pistol round, thanks in part to nades from lurppis and fRoD which damaged the SK players attempting to push. Still SK managed their own low money magic as they bought AKs and successfully took A with RobbaN kiling the last two EG to make it 1:1 on the half. The next two went to SK and the overall score now read 11:8 EG. A split A for SK was unsuccessful on the 5th to give EG another round, but then it was SK who seized the opportunity to build a run.
From the 6th to the 10th it was all SK. The 7th saw three RobbaN kills decisive in the round. The 9th had kHRYSTAL in a situation where he seemed sure to lose the round as he was 1v3 with the bomb planted but all three EG players were inside the bombsite, B, and he was in the tunnels. Nevertheless a well placed flash and a little luck saw him take down the first, the second and then kill the defuser to win the round.
Two catwalk pushes in the 11th and 12th rounds saw the momentum shift back EG's way momentarily. The Americans got two kills from n0thing and gfn in the 11th and in the next fRoD pulled out two kills to keep his team's hopes of an upset alive. The score now read 14:13 EG. Three kills from face leveled the score in the 13th, then SK took the 14th via a long A attack which EG could do little about.
Now all of a sudden SK had the game at their feet as a loss would send it to overtime and a win would take the game overall. kHRYSTAL was 1v2 when he planted the bomb but n0thing got the kill necessary to force overtime.
Overtime
EG took the pistol round as terrorists in overtime to lead once more in the match, a mid to B push getting them 2v2 when the bomb went down and then lurppis and Storm doing what had to be done to win the round. In the 2nd it was two kHRYSTAL kills after a failed B push from EG which left n0thing to time the round out and even it up. SK took the last of the half with two from allen.
The second half began with EG sending four long A and getting the bomb down 4v2, which prompted EG to decide to save their two guns outside B tunnels. In the last round of the game the bomb went down 4v3 in SK's favour, that advantage turned to 3v1 and the inevitable came about as SK took the round and game.
SK now head to the final to await the winner of the lower bracket.
