The year of SK Gaming has been reviewed on December 30th with all the big changes. Managing Director Alexander T. "TheSlaSH" Müller-Rodic also has a few words for all the fans of SK Gaming and passionate eSports followers:
It is once again the very last day of a year, time for us to recap what has happened and wish all of you out there a happy new year.
The worldwide economical crisis has climaxed in the downfall of MYM and ESWC as the top of the iceberg and yet here we are celebrating another 12 months of intense competition. Our teams and players have done incredibly good with gold, silver and bronze medals at WCG in FIFA and WC3, titles at Blizzcon, Quakecon and MLG. Our CS team won IEM Chengdu, IEF 2009 in Korea and Arbalet Cup on home turf in Sweden. All in all we are more than happy with the placements and trophies won. We would like to take a moment and pay our respect to all competitors out there and their results as well. It was great meeting you guys in tournaments and leagues!
All of this would not have been possible if it wasn't for a great team behind these players. It includes everyone holding up the SK flag in the background.
First of all the webcrew of course. They are the ones bringing all of the eSports happenings to you via the website. Throughout the year more than 9m Unique Users visited www.sk-gaming.com to inform themselves, work on their personal profiles or just get entertained a little bit. All editors and the development crew have done an incredible job to serve all of those visitors.
The other integral part of our work is the people working in Marketing, Sales, PR and Administration. it is the missing corner stone to make SK what it is: probably the most successful team eSport has seen globally, a running business but most of all a little family to all involved and hopefully the community, too. So to each and everyone that has been a part of SK in 2009, I want to say thank you!
Last but not least we want to salute to the eSports community. 9m Users in 2009 is a hell of a number and we are more than happy to provide some entertainment to you.
Thanks for coming by and celebrating victories, moaning defeats and discussing the drama. We promise to improve the service even more in 2010.
Which leaves us with the best wishes to all of you for the upcoming 2010. May all of what you wish for yourselves come true!
Cheers
Alex T. Müller, MD SK Gaming
