The second season of EPS Nordic began today with twelve teams from Sweden, Finland, Denmark, and Norway competing for their piece of the $10,000 prize pool. The season will run eleven weeks long with the matches being played every Tuesday at 20:00CET.

One of the most anticipated matches of the first week was last season’s runners up Fnatic going up against MeetYourMakers swe in an all Swedish matchup. The game was dominated by fnatic as they won it 16:6.

First Half

After winning the knife round fnatic would take the Counter-Terrorist side to start the match. In the first round, MYM moved into the upper site and planted the bomb but Patrik 'f0rest' Lindberg came back with three kills and a bomb defuse to win the round for his team. In the third round, MYM would buy guns and force their way into the upper site and held it this time to get their first round of the game 2:1.

In the ninth round we saw a great two versus one play by Patrik 'cArn' Sättermon as he held off the lower bomb site getting two great kills against MYM. After losing so many rounds in a row it was hard for Meet Your Makers as they had to constantly save. At the end of the eleventh round Emil 'FYRR73' Karlsson was the last man standing against three players from fnatic. He would get two kills and have the bomb on his back as he went to the lower site, he planted the bomb but Patrik 'f0rest' Lindberg came out of the vents to end his run.

Great play from the entire fnatic side held off MYM for the rest of the half not allowing more than three rounds 12:3.


Second Half

After getting opening picks at upper site, fnatic decided to rush lower and plant the bomb. Jimmy 'Jumpy' Berndtsson moved down and got the two kills needed and defused the bomb to win the pistol round for MYM, 12:4.

With the bomb plant in the first round fnatic could afford guns in the third round of the half and they moved to the outside roof and got two spam kills through the walls. After the opening picks they went to the ramp, planted lower and won the round 13:5.

With fnatic continuing to spam from roof, Marcus 'Delpan' Larsson decided to move around outside and flank them and in the twentieth round he would end up getting two kills. It would be to late however as fnatic would win out after that to win the match 16:6.
