Aerowalk was relatively close up until roughly a quarter of the way through where stermy started to pull ahead. He initially fell behind early on but through a combination of near-perfect railing and item control he clawed his way back and opened up a lead of his own which Cooller had no response for. stermy was on his A-game throughout the map and came out the winner, 16 frags to 7.
However, Cooller dominated almost the entirety of t7, and with the score at 12-1 and 3:48 left he called "gg" in the chat - probably a good way to get under stermy's skin. This time around it was Cooller's turn to hit some nifty rail and rocket shots and they were the foundation of his comprehensive 17-4 win.
And so came the third and final map - dm13 - with a place in the grand final on the line. stermy had continually picked the map throughout the tournament and it was immediately reflected in this game; despite possessing a lower stack for a large majority of the middle of the game, stermy won a crucial fight at mega to open up a one frag lead following a lengthy stalemate at 1-1.
But Cooller quickly hit back to tie the score at 2-2 and, after pocketing another frag, again set about a quick item sweep before amounting an attack. With 45 seconds left he pressured stermy and managed to take him down, giving himself a two frag lead with plenty of options to simply run down the clock.
Cooller will play in his first grand final since the IEM 4 World Championships against Cypher who has looked impressive throughout the entire weekend. Catch the game live, on stream, after the Capture the Flag final.
