With the massive number of 272 confirmed Halo 3 teams, MLG Raleigh will be one of the biggest eSport events ever and maybe the best 50th birthday present the league could have wished for. But 272 teams isn't all, there is still time to purchase tickets and the at-the-door sale will also push the numbers. Can MLG Raleigh break the 300 teams barrier?

"MLG’s 50th-ever Pro Circuit Competition is going to be massive. The Halo 3 bracket in Raleigh will consist of 272 teams: by far the largest ever in MLG history. We are incredibly excited by the unprecedented turnout, and we are honored that so many of you will be participating in this momentous occasion.
Even though this is already the largest Pro Circuit Competition we’ve ever had, why stop there? Let’s see how big we can get. We have decided not to stop selling Halo 3 passes for Raleigh; we would like to accommodate as many of you as possible. So if you haven’t yet purchased a pass, you have not missed your chance.
MLG Raleigh will feature some of the last Pro Circuit Halo 3 play ever, Open Bracket play on the Main Stage for the very first time, the chance to revisit Halo 1 and 2 and Super Smash Brothers Melee, and, of course, the first-ever MLG StarCraft 2 Event. Get a pass now and be a part of the extravaganza! Even if you don't want to compete, you can get a spectator pass for $25; or, if you can't make it out in person, get an HD pass for only $10 and make sure you don't miss out on any of the excitement the weekend has to offer."
