The IEM Quake Live European Championship has lost two competitors.
The online competition is nearing completion, with only a handful of games remaining before the top ranked players qualify for the LAN finals that take place in January at the CyberSport Arena in Kiev, Ukraine.
Алексей 'Nitrino' Карташёв and Alessandro 'stermy' Avallone both amassed too many penalty points, resulting in exclusion from the championship. The majority of their points come from failing to show up to matches, with stermy totalling a huge three major penalty points and 20 minors. Nitrino tallied two majors and 10 minors.
stermy, who recently competed and underperformed at BEAT IT and DreamHack, now has to sit out the remainder of ESL's fifth IEM season along with Nitrino, leaving them with a rather boring Christmas period.
