New York City was the city of choice for the last Halo:Reach tournament in 2010. WCG Holiday Heroes 2010 hosted at the Samsung Experience Expo was set to be a great tournament with some sick teams competing.

The grand-final was the showdown of two famous MLG teams, Impact and Darkest Hour , both placing well in the 2010 season, were the favourites from the beginning until the end for the spots in the grand-final. It came as it had to come, Impact strolled through the whole WB without a single map loss and secured their spot in the grand-final after sending Darkest Hour into the LB. DH still found their motivation and took the Consolation to play SyA once again, this time in two best-of-series with DH having to win both for a chance to get their hands on the $4,000 cheque.

2: Darkest Hour 4x Netbooks
3: Type Z 4x Monitors

Unfortunately, there wasn't any stream available throughout the weekend. It was a slightly disappointing move by WCG as there were a lot of spectators just waiting to grab a piece of the thrilling matches in NYC.

This tournament makes it even tougher to pass the time until the MLG opener of the 2011 season as everyone can hardly wait to see how the team changes affected the teams and how it will work out in the end.
