Just another day at the GSTL. The best Koreans duking it out representing their individual teams in a team league that all the world looks forward to enjoying.
In this second season we had lots of interesting matches, but only one of the eight teams could be crowned Season Three champion. Even with the notable absence of Season One champions team Incredible Miracle, this season's finale turned into an affair for the ages, with both teams managing to push it to the limit, playing out the maximum of nine games with the format.
The series was fairly even throughout the finals, with both of the finalists, Slayers and MVP going at each other with their best. The series ended with what many have stated was "The Best StarCraft 2 Game... Period" and it almost certainly something that any dedicated eSports fan should take the time to enjoy.
But when the dust had settled, it was the Slayers who could call themselves champions and lift the GSTL Season Three trophy. The final match came down to the wire and was one for the ages. As GOMTV announces changes to their format that will be bringing us all more GSTL on a weekly basis, it has become clear just how entertaining this format can be as individual leagues start to become a dime a dozen. Here's to more great matches between teams as GSTL Season Four starts up to go along with our GSL coverage.
GSTL May final standings:
1st
SlayerS - $9,200
2nd
MVP - $4,600
