In unarguably the most anticipated match of Group C,
Lions swe managed to defeating
KerchNET with a score of 2:1, moving the Swedes up to the top of the group with five points while KerchNET trail behind with four points thanks to the new system adopted by the ASUS Summer organisers.
Lions began the first map of the match, de_nuke, on the favoured Counter-terrorist side and with
Emil 'FYRR73' Karlsson on fire and living up to his name the team managed to open up a 12:3 lead. When the teams swapped sides KerchNET began to rack up round after round, however the Lions kept a cool head which eventually paid off, leading them to a 16:12 victory.
de_train saw the Ukrainian team begin as CTs and march of to an early 9:6 advantage going into the second half. From there, KerchNET kept up the momentum and managed to rake in seven rounds to bring the score to 16:8.
The final map of the match was played on the desert landscape of de_tuscan and saw Lions claw their way into the lead with a score of 11:4 as terrorists. When the teams swapped roles, KerchNET could not get through the defences of the Lions and as a result lost the match with a final map score of 16:6 in favour of the Swedes.
