Coming into the IEM Kiev event, there has been a lot of hype surrounding the team of Moscow Five . Despite not having attended any major lan events before they were tipped by many to take the whole tournament.

Their first game saw them against one of the top teams from the North American server, Team Dignitas .

M5 were able to live up to their hype by putting in a dominating performace. Opting to use Shyvana, A champion we had yet to see so far in this tournament. Shyvana was instrumental in giving M5 a strong early game. She worked well with the AP Mid Ryze of M5 to secure the first blood on Swain. Dignitas quickly recovered from this setback by taking a level 4 Dragon to which M5 were unaware.

M5 began to take it up a gear after this however, with Shyvana again ganking William 'scarra' Li on Swain.

Shyvana continued to be a thorn in the side of Dignitas with aggressive counter jungling all game. Scarra's game didn't improve with him finishing 0-6.

M5 rounded the game out in under 30 minutes to set the bar for the other teams to try and match.
