It was recently announced that the Mortal Kombat 9 Tournament for MLG Winter Championships will have a substantial prize-pool increase. The total prize-pool for it is now $33,400 (USD). This will be paid out through out the top 8 places:

1st Place: $12,000
2nd Place: $7,200
3rd Place: $4,800
4th Place: $3,200
5th/6th Place: $2,000
7th/8th Place: $1,100

Along with MK9, there will also be King of Fighters XIII and Soul Calibur V. Each game's tournament will take place in one day, over the course of March 23rd – 25th. KoF XIII and SCV will have a prize-pool of $16,700 (USD), paid out to the top 8 places as well:

1st Place = $6,000
2nd Place = $3,600
3rd Place = $2,400
4th Place = $1,600
5th/6th Place = $1,000
7th/8th Place = $550
