It is with great pride that SK Gaming presents the first of the new and improved SK Trophy tournaments: SK Trophy May! This month's tournament will debut the fantastic new prizepool and structure, to be used in every monthly SK Trophy tournament henceforth.
Every month will feature four weekly Amateur tournaments with a maximum of 32 participating teams. The signups are on a first come first serve basis. These weekly tournaments will be played out in single elimination best of one games. The semis and finals will be played in played in a best of three format.
The prize money for these weekly tournaments is as follows:
Each weekly tournament will send the top two teams to the monthly Professional tournament, where eight amateur teams will face off against eight invited pro teams. In these tournaments, only the first round will be played in a best of one format, with all other rounds being played best of three.
These monthly competitive highlights will feature 1000$ prizepools, with 700$ going to the winner and 300$ to the team that places second.
SK Gaming will provide livestreams complete with shoutcasting by big names as well as up-and-comers.
