The final day of GamesCom already brought 2 wonderful games and a third place winner, but now it is time for the Grand Finals. The IEM world champions are playing against SK Gaming's new line-up, that pulled off a very good show yesterday. Both teams know each other, as they scrimmed a lot against each other. Will SK be able to pull off another amazing win?
SK Gaming vs
Moscow Five
Game 1
Picks:
Bans:
Game one started and SK went for a tactic that M5 'invented' in Kiev. Gangplank got red buff at level 1 and teleports back to base, followed by a summoner spell teleport on to top lane.
As Shen had trouble with the red buff and the lane was pushed towards his tower, Udyr decided to go a sneaky gank through the top tribush. The result was an early first blood on Udyr, which led to a very early oracle at the 5 minute mark.
Moscow 5 managed to pressure every single lane and deny SK any vision, thanks to the oracle. 10 minutes into the game M5 took down their first dragon and already had a 4k gold lead. Their dominance goes on and they snowballed through the game by playing phenomenal.
Hitting the 10k gold lead, M5 went for an easy uncontested baron. With the strength of baron's buff and the huge advantage they shred through SK's mid lane, taking down the inhibitor. SK Gaming desperately engaged one last time and got crushed, and so did their nexus.
Winner: Moscow 5

Game 2
Picks:
Bans:
In game 2 SK adapted their strategy and went for their semi final strategy: Donate the first blue buff to the top laner and send him to bottom lane. However, Yorick was not able to pick up blue, as the golem unluckily decided to reset. Teleporting onto bot lane without the blue buff, Yorick immediately got caught by Udyr which led to a first blood for Corki.
Similar to the last game, Udyr went for another early oracle for M5 and had presence in every lane. Additionally to SK getting bullied in every lane, Renekton managed to farm very well, while Yorick struggled to even pass the 20 cs mark after about 6 minutes. The snowballing started all over again and watching the game seemed like a déjà vu.
13 Minutes into the game M5 went for their first dragon to build up a 4k gold lead. Right after the dragon got slayed M5 caught Twisted Fate at his wraiths and chased him through the jungle. SK Gaming saw this as a opportunity and engaged the first team fight. However, the fight pretty much reflected what happened in the last hour: M5 absolutely destroyed SK Gaming.
The game went on with M5 having no troubles at all. With a 13k gold advantage and a 16-1 score at 21 minutes, SK showed their true strength. After some more kills M5 eventually decided to end the game and pushed straight through all of SK's members to the nexus. A very strong performance from M5, who now officially can be called Europe's number one.
Winner: Moscow 5
Congratulations to M5 for winning the Europe Regionals at GamesCom2012 and showing great sportmanship. Moscow 5, SK Gaming and Counter Logic Gaming.EU are going to represent Europe's finest at the Season 2 World Championship in Los Angeles.
