It's anybodies game as we kick off the semifinals of the Season 2 World Championship. Noted power house from Europe M5 who exploded on to the scene in spectacular fashion back at IEM Kiev faces off against the terrors of the GPL, TPA.
Moscow Five vs
Azubu Taipei Assassins

Game 1:
Bans:
Picks:
The game starts with each team taking it slow and trying to feel each other out and make sure no invades happen. Once the buffs spawn, Taipei Assassins take four of their members and move towards M5's blue buff. They meet some resistance by M5 but the four members are too much for them and TPA successfully takes blue buff from M5's jungle. TPA then decide to mix things up and have Karthus teleport bottom to lane against Nunu and Vayne whilst Taric and Kog'maw go mid versus Alex Ich's Evelynn. M5 would eventually get their revenge for the blue buff steal via a bottom three man gank by Xin, Vayne, and Nunu onto the squishy Karthus. With high pressure middle from the duo lane of TPA they go for the dive with help from Udyr and just miss the kill opportunity on Evelynn as she flashes out just at the the right time with the help of Xin coming out of the jungle. TPA set up for the second blue steal of the game and successfully do so with the assistance of a Shen ultimate and give the buff to a Karthus who walked all the way up from bottom to get it. M5 would try for the three man gank once again on bottom but a Karthus teleport would make sure that nothing devasting would happen at that time. M5 would stick around to try and take TPA's blue buff but they'd be just a little late to try and snag it away from them. After some swapping, the lanes would go back to their "normal" ways and Karthus would go back mid with Taric and Kog'maw going back bottom. TPA starts with the poke down bottom and then goes all in on Nunu and Vayne with the Karthus and Shen ultimate to take down Nunu. M5 would turn it around though, and respond with three kills back against TPA along with the first dragon of the game to top it all off at 12:34. With some good positioning, a stalking Evelynn in TPA's jungle would somehow manage to steal their blue buff away even without the assistance of a smite. An aggressive bottom lane from TPA would again go on the attack against Nunu and Vayne, and with the help of Karthus' teleport and wall they'd net another kill onto Nunu. Alex Ich on Evelynn would show the true power of the champ and go all in on Karthus mid to take the solo kill before moving on to dragon and taking their second kill on it this game.
At 20 minutes into the game M5 are up 6-3 in kills and hold a 4k gold advantage.
A four on four teamfight bottom would break out with both teams trading quite evenly but would eventually lead to the a slight advantage for M5 and nets them a kill on to MiSTakE's Taric. M5 would fall back and take the first tower kill middle at 22 minutes. Evelynn would also take this time to pick up an impressive solo kill on Shen top, even with him sitting on his turret for the majority of the duration. Bottom would break out into another fight after the pressure was applied from TPA, but they'd get turned on from a rushing Xin Zhao and M5 would pick up three kills and only take one casualty. M5 would take this time to take their third consecutive dragon of the game shortly after that fight. Some action would then break out in TPA's blue buff jungle as Yorick would take a flurry of damage from four members of TPA before having the rest of M5 come in to take down Udyr and Taric. TPA would respond by taking out two of M5's own champion in Evelynn and Vayne. A fake attempt on Baron by M5 would manifest itself into a full on engage towards TPA and they'd successfully ace TPA while they only have Yorick fall in the process. After the team fight they'd fall back and go for the true Baron kill at 29:25 in the game. M5 would then go back to base, buy, and regroup before their push down middle on to the inhibitor turret where they'd blow through all of TPA via an ace and have the triple fall on Genja's Vayne before finishing the game.
Winner: M5
Game 2:
Bans:
Picks:
After a unsuccessful blue buff invade by TPA onto M5, they'd back off and roam over to the river by Baron only to find a solo Zyra that they would kill for the quick first blood. M5 respond with an invade by Udyr onto TPA's red buff, successfully taking it. TPA would try and respond by doing the exact mirror play but would be spot in the jungle too early and Taric would fall before TPA actually comes out top and takes out Kog'maw and Zilean in response. At this point the lanes would be established as the AD carry/support lane top and the typical top lanes taking bottom as their position. Moving slightly out of position, Zilean would get caught middle river by Maokai, and even with the backup assistance by M5's Udyr, he would still fall. After Taric assisted on the kill middle he would casually stroll up to his top lane and be able to stun Kog'maw to pick up the kill with Vayne's help. Another successful gank by TPA middle would net them a kill on to Zilean again, even with the use of Zilean's ultimate. Stanley on Nidalee would also take this time to take the first turret of the game on bottom. To counteract, M5 would sneak in the first dragon kill of the game at 11:37.
At 13:10 into the game, TPA is up 6 kills to 1, with a 5k gold lead and 3 turrets down.
With an early advantage, TPA is pushing super aggressive, as they know that their tournament life depends on this match. M5 would try once again to close the gap that TPA has in gold, by taking the second dragon of the game. Taipei would respond by taking Baron and putting pressure on the top lane minion push. With a back and forth by Nidalee and Kog'maw top they would each chunk the other but decide to back off before both teams fully converge top and engage in a teamfight in which TPA would come out with the ace and the 5-3 exchange.
TPA is showing the true power of their aggression and have created a rare situation in which M5 is on their heels. At 24 minutes into the game, M5 have only managed four kills and have yet to take down a single turret compared to TPA's six.
Shortly after TPA would take the second Baron kill of the game at 26:40 before pushing middle to force the teamfight and pick off four members of M5 before finishing of the Nexus.
Winner: Taipei Assassins
