Game 1: MARN vs. GoodGame University
With both teams looking to prove themselves they each take very defensive stances coming into this first game. So defensive, in fact, that no kills go down for the first 25 minutes. This is a result of Marn outfarming GGU both in lane and securing Dragons in addition to them having a superior late-game comp. Although GGU with Jarvan IV tried to make plays, it just wasn't happening. When a full fight finally broke out, Marn took a definitive advantage and snowballed to an 11 - 0 victory from there.
Game 2: CLG vs. CompLexity
With CLG attempting to break out of their current slump they attempt to take hold of this game. With good planning and execution CLG puts a tight hold on the early game, securing Dragons and kills. However coL shows that they are not ones to be counted out just yet, and continue to go mostly even in fights. In particular one fight where Twitch manages to land a beautiful ult across almost all of CLG and coL take that fight 4 for 1. However, CLG's experience shines through and they secure Baron after a pick on Chuuper, and take the win shortly thereafter.
Game 3: MARN vs. Vulcun
Coming off a strong win Marn continue their confident play and look to take hold of this next game by securing a 4 minute outer turret. Through solid pressure and play Marn begin securing Dragons and kills around the map, including a big teamfight for second Dragon that ended favourably for Marn mostly due to Vi. However their inexperience shows when Urgot goes too deep on Vulcun and they take control of the game. With their confidence shaken, Marn gives up a free Baron that is the beginning of the end for them. With excellent lasers coming out of ManCloud, Vulcun secures their 3 - 0 record this week.
Game 4: CompLexity vs GoodGame University
Duriing some unfortunate level one positioning GGU ends up burning two of their flashes very early. However coL fails to capitalize on this as GGU and particularly Zion on Lee Sin. GGU apply heavy pressure which ends up backfiring as coL initiates and aces them, taking Dragon after. With both teams fairly even GGU takes a close fight but as they are doing Baron with very low health the ressed coL members come to fight GGU. After a lot of posturing by both teams coL aggressively takes the reigns of the game and secures the next Baron. With steady play they manage to work down GGU's base piece by piece until coL finally come out on top.
