Extreme Masters Season 2 Finals

Information

The second ESL Extreme Masters season has finished and the big finals are coming up. Again the finals will be held at the CeBIT in Hannover, Germany from March 6th to 9th 2008 with ten teams attending in Counter-Strike as well as ten players in Warcraft III.

This seasons prizemoney is $285,000 split into both games but also in bonus money for winning a match, Intel Friday Night Games and also the Los Angeles event. The first placed Counter-Strike team wins $50,000 and the Warcraft III winner also gets $20,000 for being first.

Two stages are being played at the Finals starting with the Group Stage with two groups each five teams/players. The first placed of each group advances to the Double Elimination while the second and third of each group play each other to determine the last two finalists. The Double Elimination is then being played at the Intel Booth with Stage Games also.

ESL-TV will also broadcast the whole event from Thursday until Sunday.
