MLG Columbus 2016 will be the eight official major Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament in cooperation with Valve Corporation and the first to be held in the North American region. The event will run from 29th of March to 3rd of April in Columbus, Ohio, United States of America.

This tournament will also be the first from the series to feature an increased prize purse from $250,000 to $1,000,000.

The group stage of the tournament will take place during the first three days inside the MLG Arena without audience, while the playoffs inside the Nationwide Arena.
